The high school for Lyon Village is excellent. You have no idea what you are talking about. Anyone that pays over two mill will probably do private anyway.

In that case why not live in an attractive neigborhood in DC? Arlington isn't known for good private schools.

I would pick Arlington over DC. I like it better.

Because not everyone likes the idea of living in DC.

Can you spend $2.2 million on a house, afford private schools, and spend money on restaurants in Clarendon?

it's a Mickey Simpson. Lots of stuff like that in that neighborhood goes for $2+m. Also most stuff in LV seems to have detached garages. Dunno why. lots of big houses on that street. not many people left to be annoyed about them.

Weirdly, the listing gives Abingdon as the ES.

Right. The ES is either Taylor or Key/Science Focus.

Not Taylor--just ASFS/Key. Taylor zone is across N Highland.

I love the house.

LV is from 1920s-1930s...hence garages in back if at all.

Fab location !! No car necessary.

I like the house - toured it a few years ago. Only thing is that it's 2000+ sq ft too big for the lot and neighborhood. But lots of nice little details.

I bet that it goes for right around $2M.

+1
Some people prefer DC. Some people prefer VA. Who cares? And the HS is fine.

If I had another million I'd buy it. I've been in it. It's gorgeous.

I love it. That location is worth the price.

Great! I'll pick up your property when it gets foreclosed upon.

Definitely will go for close to asking, maybe slightly lower. You should see what goes for a mil in that neighborhood these days. "Worth" is one thing but present market value another! For those predicting another steep drop just look at how N Arlington fared in the worst US housing crisis in history, that's a sufficient historical benchmark.

Your envy is showing pp. And it's uglier than your fat ass.
