DC Clubs circa 1987: Tracks on Thursdays, Cities on Fridays...

I was a fan of Winston's in g'town. Born in 68, so just made the grandfather clause to be able to drink legally in dc.

My Latina friends loved Chicago's (now buffalo billiard). Also loved 21st amendment.

Loved Tracks and Poseurs! Anyone remember a place near the old 9:30 club called the Bank (I think that's what it was called or it was in an old bank building).

Anyone frequent Chaplins on Wisconsin Ave? Popular with AU students at the time and played awesome alternative music.

I was born 1977 and was a staple at Thursday night tracks. I would sneak out at 11 and use my Electromax fake ID to get in. I also went to 5th column, until it turned into the Bank or whatever stupid club it became.

1/2 street was convenient as I could then score a dime bag while I was at it.

You are a baby! The Bank was post Fifth Column and moved from a Deep House type club to Dubai inspired cheesy middle eastern type club.

Wasn't the vault upstairs.fun to read about these places. Went to Nats park yesterday and can't believe I uses to hang in that neighborhood. Poseurs, cagneys. Old 9:30, DC Space.

Anyone remember 15 Minutes? The Insect Club back when Chinatown was scary (pre MCI/Verizon Center)? The Cellar? The Crow Bar? These are all c. 1993.
