How should I style this lace dress? (Pictures included)

I like picture #1--just wear a simple, delicate necklace in silver. Nothing chunky or bright colored.

Ditto shorter or knee length. The sleeve hits the largest part of your arm. Similarly, the empire waist makes you look shorter and plumper then you are, not longer and leaner. You are not this stocky. A sleeveless sheath would be much more flattering to you.

I appreciate the honest feedback. I thought it looked great in the dressing room, but I admit when I saw pictures, suddenly it seemed too busy and young-looking.

I just went shopping in my closet, and I have a billion dresses, but the only wedding-appropriate ones are black and boring. I stayed up until 2:00 last night shopping online for cocktail dresses with short sleeves, to no avail. Haven't decided what I'm going to do yet.

I think you look nice. I like it with the belt. My suggestion would be to stand up a bit straighter and emphasize your curves, don't hide them!

why not try to accessorize the "black and boring" dresses you have in your closet? If you have something that fits well and is flattering you can always improve it with elegant or colorful jewelry, shoes, belts, shrugs, or scarves.

I think the dress is nice. I personally would stick to softer tones rather than the orange pop. Silver, and I like the rose idea. I think the shoes are fine.

where is this orange necklace that people are referring to?
(I do not see it in the photos.) The only differentiation between both photos is the belt. Am I missing something? thanks!

I like it, but it's out of both my price and size ranges.

Agree with others to just jazz up a black dress you already have. It's a nice dress you have on but not for your body type. You are wide up top, and the dress is drawing so much attention to that area.

Echo PPs' suggestions to liven up one of your black dresses. Maybe a new necklace or shoes?

I don't think the lace dress is awful, just kind of meh.

I like #2 the best. Instead of watch, maybe bracelet?

Definitely NO cardigan! Far too warm for a cardigan, and it would add too much fabric/bulk for a summer wedding. If there'll be some wedding inside, you can bring one or a shawl in case the AC is too much - but I wouldn't make it a big part of your outfit.
