Finally Had It - Want to lose 30 lbs

I know this is a crazy way to think about it BUT when I excercise I get crazy hungry and have difficulty limiting the amount of food I eat. As a result I decided to diet without exercising and it is the only time in my life I have been successful. I lost 30lbs in 4 months by doing a low calorie, low carb and low fat diet. I did not totally deny myself anything - if the kids were having pasta and I wanted some, I would have a small bowl and a salad etc.

Good luck

22:37 here and totally agree re exercise. I decided to focus on the weight loss first and exercise later (which was much easier 30 lbs later anyway). Plus it was much easier to focus on one thing, and succeed, than failing at both.

14:00. Can you provide details? I have never been able to lose without exercise, and in fact I have never not exercised -- I love being active. But now fiind myself sidelined with an injury for several months that Precludes all cardio and most weight teaining, so i despair that I can't take off the 30 pounds that I gained in my 40s, at least not now. So would love to hear what a successful eating plan
for the non-exerciser looks like. I had actually been meaning to post this question!

OP here...this is all truly wonderful advice. I can't thank you enough for your thoughtful guidance. I am starting today with absolutely no processed foods, focusing on proteins and fruits and veggies, eating less, and moving at least 30 min a day. Crossing my fingers!
