Conservative here, I don't have a problem with POTUS staying dry while avoiding questions from the press. No matter one's political beliefs, it's still a Marine's greatest duty to keep watch over the CinC. No, I don't feel sorry for that Marine, he's got one of the best details a Marine could get.

That being said, I don't sympathize with POTUS, his arrogance hasn't bought much good will, I'm sure he's learning.

Obama looks like a huge wimp by making a uniformed Marine hold an umbrella over his head. The Marines there are not his footmen, waiters, doormen and it appears disrespectful to the USMC to have these soldiers used in this manner.

USAF protocol used to dictate that a uniformed AF officer was not to carry and umbrella or push a baby stroller in uniform. Considered undignified and plus, you'd be unable to salute.

Benghazi was a consulate and didn't have marine guards.

That's the real issue? The fact that he was having a joint press conference with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan and was prepared to talk about issues such as the war in Syria is not the issue?
