Let's just call it a gut feeling. I am glad she's better. |
I searched the term "crazy" in the politcal forum and 1727 results popped up.
I searched he term insane in the political forum and 418 results popped up. I typed in Mitch McConnell in my search engine and Mitch McConnell gay popped up as well as other unkind search keywords. His wife was the first Chinese-American Secretary of Labor under the Bush Administration. Elaine Chao is a naturalized citizen who was born in Taiwan. Those scumbags had the audacity to question Mitch McConnell's patriotism because he married a Chinese-American and you have the audacity, the audacity, to try to pin the release of Ashley Judd's own admission on him. You are twisted. You will lose because people will see through this thinly-veiled Machiavellian attempt. Get your shit together. |
You will note that in this forum, the liberals defended Mitch McConnell on the issue of his wife. |
And yet we can't see a candidate's tax returns. |
OP you just dont get this. A private strategy meeting was held in which they discuss some very negative things about a potential opponet. Whoopie freaking doo. Pretty much every campaign would do the exact same thing. They didn't release the negative information, it was already public. They merely discussed the information and its potential usefulness in a political campaign.
As others have said, you should properly be irritated with Mother Jones, not the McConnel campaign. A side issue is the dirty tricks involved in recording this. |
I absolutely cannot stand Mitch McConnell and these people are assholes but I believe that similar conversations go on among Democrats. Politics is a dirty business. |
Looks like it was indeed a Dem job:

Must be pretty serious. The Dems are trying to distance themselves from Progress Kentucky. |
So it wasn't a bugging after all. They were at the grand opening of the campaign office and they overheard it and taped it. Sounds like an open mic gaffe. |
From the hallway. Yep, no malicious intent there. Conway told Fox News they recorded the meeting from the hallway, and later told him about it. "I don't know why they were at the grand opening of his campaign office. ... They overheard the conversation going on," he said. "To me it was an extremely tacky conversation ... but it was a private conversation nonetheless." Oh come on. The same thing happened to Romney at a fundraiser and it wasn't Watergate. If you speak loudly and there are people present, they are going to hear it. Close the damn door or something if you are having a private conversation. |
Big difference: Romney was giving a speech at an event. The MC situation is private conversation in an office.
|
They were at an open house hosted by the McConnell campaign, and the conversation could be plainly heard in the hallway. What part of "open house" do you not understand? |
Yeah it sounds like the McConnell people were just plain careless. |
McConnell campaign manager Jesse Benton told Fox News that there is a video camera in the lobby where anybody would have to pass through to get to the second floor, where the meeting in question took place.
"They certainly were not authorized to be there, if they were indeed there," Benton said of the Progress Kentucky operatives. Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/04/11/operative-claims-liberal-group-progress-kentucky-behind-secret-recording/#ixzz2QDASvxMl |
