My DH is 51yo, and earns 92K as a research scientist He has an MD and a PhD. He saved people's lives as an emergency doc and now works in cancer research. He feels pretty good about himself.

Money is not everything.

Diversified financial services. Think places like Chevy chase, Wells Fargo, Capital One, BOA, PNC, eTrade, Freddie, Genworth, Bloomberg, etc.
