I had to Google this, but yes, they look similar. I like that they are long enough that they don't seem to creep up. Spanx make me grumpy, the cami doesn't. |
| I sweat in that stuff and am just miserable when we go out. Any suggestions for ones that breath more than spanx and the cami? |
| If you can breathe perfectly, then they aren't sucking it in enough. haha. |

tummy tuck!

"Ab work, along with general exercise and better nutrition (cut fat, sugar, salt, eat less), will tighten your core tremendously and make you look much more fit all the time. It's totally worth it, because the results are highly visible! I recommend the Eat Clean Diet by Tosca Reno - made me get a six-pack. Even if you do not follow it hard-core, it will lead to a slimmer and firmer mid-section. It is a lot of work, though."
Yep. I have a nice little tummy roll going on right now after several months of eating more chocolate and carbs than I should (always happens this time of year); by October, after cutting back during the spring and summer, it'll be gone. |
| In addition to sucking it in, make sure you don't stand with an anterior pelvic tilt, that can make your belly stick out more than it should. I checked my posture and realized I was standing that way and my belly looked much better if I concentrated on standing properly! |
|
Do situps and pushups. Doesn't even have to be a lot (maybe 10-20).
You'll be surprised how much you stand straighter that day. Sucking in your gut for long periods of time also leads to imbalanced muscles and can affect your digestive system (because it's always squeezed). |
| Have had two kids and found Pilates to be a huge help both times. But I still suck it in all the time out of habit & I weigh 103. |
I started doing "Insanity" a month ago and the need to suck it in is basically gone. I'm both nervous and scared of month 2, but it's been so worth it. My metabolism has shot up. I've actually gained weight, but dropped several inches, so I know it's all muscle - and that core muscle and abs makes a big difference. I thought I wanted a tummy tuck, but have decided it's unnecessary after all.

Ditto! I am dropping 6 k for both abs and flanks. |
I've had lipo - and loved it! - but let's please be clear on what it can and cannot do: If you are otherwise taut & tight, and your only "problem" area is a small, genetic propensity for your body fat to collect in a specific location, then lipo is for you! All the cardio, Pilates, biking, and bleacher-running in the world was not going to take that extra two inches off the outside of my size 1 thighs and make them double 00s. So, I don't regret it (at all) but my thighs would never have met on the inside anyway (even after all three pregnancies). Point being that lipo will perfect your imperfections but it will not correct your incorrections. As long as you can still work it off then sucking it out surgically is not going to FIX your body. |
Me too. |
How do you find time? |
| What's a good recommendation for a slimming cami? Thanks. |
| Please post more info on "Insanity". I am very interested. Good results? |
