I didn't have a c but went about a week and finally resorted to a suppository. Worked in about 15 minutes.

Yes and it will hurt like absolute hell. I had to take a handful of pain pills and lie down for a nap afterward. Good luck honey!

It's the combo of the surgery and the percocet. I finally had to resort to milk of magnesia (my hospital let me go before pooping - i did have to pee though). The MoM (if you will) finally gave me the relief. Still hurt like hell to go though. Good luck OP! Go laxative soon - don't end up with hemorrhoids!!

Lots of water. Prune juice.

Coffee and prune juice did the trick for me...I think three days out. It wasn't so bad, but I was shocked at the amount of Gas and how much my belly went down after. I felt much much better after!

Good for you! I drank coffee and prune juice by the gallon and it didn't do anything. I literally felt like a brick came out. OMG the pain. Thinking about it is enough to make me second guess wanting to have #2.

2 Teaspoons of metamucil (the multi-health original flavor) in a glass of OJ - works like a charm for me (although it takes about 24 hours).

Get someone to watch the baby and sit on the toilet with a book for as long as it takes, that's what did it for me.

With my seond csection, my OB gave me laxtives in addition to the stool softeners. I hate laxatives though, think the stool softeners and lots of coffee worked better to get things moving without the stomach cramps.

Ha! (Me, too)

Hahahahahahahaaaa! I'm sorry ladies, I'm laughing at your (and my) pain! I guess I just like scatalogical posts.

Ah, the miracle of childbirth... NOT. (<--yeah, I went to college in the 80/90s.)

I actually had to go to the er, i ended up with "fecal impaction".....OMG....it was awful....and, I did all of the above, fiber, water, stool softeners for like 6 days, walking around etc...it was those damn pain killers AND I was slightly constipated before my c-section which was probably sent me over the edge...

I guess times really have changed. Like other PPs, 3 years ago they wouldn't release me until I pooped. Happened on day 4.
