I'm one of those 5'0'' women. It's really hard finding clothes! I basically have to have everything shortened, taken in, worn with a belt, etc. The rare occasion I find something that fits well off the rack, I buy multiples.

I'm not a stick but am thin enough (I think): 5'0'', usually about 115, with some fluctuations of about 5 lbs in either direction. When I was in HS, some 20 years ago, I was about the same weight, and took about a 4-6; now I'm usually a size 0-2. In higher-end brands, I take a bigger size and I must admit: there's a part of me that likes vanity sizing.

5'3. 167. Size 12 or 14. Depends on what it is.

It also really depends where you shop. I'm 5'3", 117lbs and wear a size 4. I'm petite with longer legs, shorter torso. The brands I wear tend to run small vs large - I'm sure in some places I'd run closer to a 2.

5'10", 185 lbs. Usually a 12 or 14 on the bottom and a 16 for blouses and jackets (broad shoulders and big bust).

anyhow most of my old clothes (from 5/7, 130 lbs) fit, just not as well. I'm a size 2-4.

Seriously thats some bullshit. I am 111lbs and a petite 0-2. You must looked like a stuffes sausage in a 2. Sorry lady not buying it.

5'8" and 167 lbs. Lost nearly 30 lbs but only dropped from a tight 14 to a 12/bordering on 10s. Still really a large for tops. I am aiming for 150 and hopefully a solid 10. I think sizes are definitely deflated but dont care so much as long as it fits right (although I was excited to buy a size 10 even knowing it was not the 10s of old).

5'7" and 135 lbs. I wear a 6 in most clothes. I feel more like an 8 or a 10, but those sizes swim on me.

I am the same weight and height as you, and I don't see how that would translate into a size 6, unless I was busty.

I'm 5'6'' and wore a 6 when I was 120lbs. I'm now about 145-148 and wear an 8. There is no way OP wears a 4 or 6.

I confess I didn't realize the wide variation until reading this thread! Enlightening.

I am 5'2", 111 lbs. I wear mostly size 2. The vanity size 2 is different than the real, traditional size 2 though. Ten years ago, I was 99 lbs. I wore size 2 back then as well. I still have some of the old size 2 clothing. I can no longer fit in them. Today's size 2 is much bigger (except for a minority of fashion brands). Banana Republic is the most ridiculous. I wear size 00 of some Banana Republic clothes.

I went to China and surprised to learn I had to wear size Large in China.

6'0, 192 pounds. I wear a 16-18, tall. At my lowest weight, in college, I weighed 153 and wore a 12.

I'm 5'9", 125lbs, wear a size 4.

5'7" 120-125, 2-4, size small.

Vanity sizing drives me crazy. Do they think we're idiots? I had my 20 year high school reunion and got back to my age 18 size of 5'3" and 130 lbs. In 1992, I was a size 10. My body is the same, but now somehow in 2012, I'm either a size 6 or 8....and I've had two kids and am much "softer.". Many tiny women must be sized out of certain brands/stores. How much smaller is there besides 00 and xs?
