Keep exercising because it's great for your brain and a really good habit to keep up and it really doesn't burn that many calories. Just make sure you eat a lot more. I made a pile of sandwiches, turkey/cheese, pb and j, etc and ate them whenever, sometimes 2+ a day, on top of regular meals. Have containers of trail mix and nuts at the office that you can snack on whenever. Intentionally put on your plate an extra scoop of whatever you're having for dinner. Have ice cream after dinner. Tell yourself that you're eating these extra things for your child, to make great milk for them.
You need more extra calories while you're breastfeeding than you need during most of your pregnancy. |
| OP here. Thanks all. I have lost another 2-3 lbs in the past few days now I am thinking I should call my doctor. I have cut out one of my workouts, have cut back on the length of my workouts and brought a ton of nuts and snacks to work with me today to store here. Hopefully this will help. Thanks again. |

This was me, absolutely, in a nutshell. Skinniest of my whole life while BF'ing and running 3-5 times a week. I ate anything in the world and kept dropping weight. But once I weaned and eased up a tiny bit on the exercice, and boom, I've got about 6 lbs back right away!
Now I am kind of missing the good old days of ice cream and chips and snacking and my pants falling down. Oh, and the huge boobs.

When do you see your kids? Not being snarky, but this does not add up. A 12hr work day is 7-7, plus the hour work out? I guess you must have a work from home situation. Could not imagine working out for an hour a day, commuting, working 10-12 hours, and then commuting back home again. I'd be dead in no time at all. |
OP here. I WOHM. I work out at 5 am when my kids are sleeping so it doesn't take away from my time with them. Then between 6:30-8 I am with my kids, getting everyone dressed, fed, etc. I am at work between (roughly) 8-6. Between 6-8/9 is dinner, bath, bed. Then usually I work again between 8-10ish at night once the kids are down. My math is bad but I think that adds up right

| I was in your shoes at one point. If you can stomach it, give yourself a tablespoon of peanut butter or almond butter a couple times a day. A tablespoon of olive oil or flaxseed oil has about as many calories and is also good for you, but not as tasty. Almonds are also one of the best foods for your milk supply and fat and calorie-dense. Ending the day with a bowl of high fat ice cream like vanilla Haagen Daz was recommended to me by a nutritionist when I was pregnant to keep my blood sugar up overnight. |
