Skinny jeans w/ sneakers? Or any other semi-stylish way for 37-yr-old mom to wear jeans & sneakers?

I'm a fan of these as they work with my feet - been wearing them for years (on pair # 4 or 5) and have done everything from trips to the playground to vacations to Europe to long distance backpacking in them.

Should add this is with boot cut jeans, not skinnies.

Wtf kind of advertising shit was that?
I couldn't even look at the (ugly) clogs due to the sheer stupidity of the ads
And I normally like clogs, but not most of those and not with the insanely ugly jeans, pants, whatever else they were wearing

OK! Those aren't your taste then, it looks like.

I like the pair that look like Roper boots, but they are $500

These are very fashion forward clogs!

OP, I would recommend Tretorn/Jack Purcell/Superga, Cole Haan smoking slippers with Nike Air, Tory Burch sneaker flats, Sperry Topsiders, or these: http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/shoes/wedges/PRDOVR~28671/28671.jsp

And for TB I meant these or other similar styles that they have had in the past: http://www.toryburch.com/Alaine-Slip-On-Sneaker/21128510,default,pd.html?CAMPID=crosssells

NOT the actual sneakers.

I have something like this from last season:

Every time I wear them, I get tons of compliments.

$300?!

I would just get some Keens (or similar) and some baby boot cut (less flared than old-school boot cut) jeans and call it a day. Even stick figures look hippy with skinny jeans and sneakers, and the wedges, heels, and $300 fashion sneakers people are suggesting on here are ridiculous for normal people hanging at the park.

Bensimon's are great for this. Many color choices.

Hmmm. I don't hate these but do you know if there is a site that shows more views of the shoes, like Zappos does? It's hard to tell just from the profile what they actually look like. It seems like they look a lot like Converse, is that right? Thanks!

I don't like them myself but I have seen many women wear skinny jeans and TOMS (i think that is what they are called).

I have some Merrell barefoot running shoes that are very flat, have a low profile, and are black and go well with dark boot cut jeans
They are also very comfortable.

Thank you! I always feel bad seeing a curvy girl in skinny jeans. Like, 'Aw honey, I know it's on trend, but you should/could look so much CUTER than that!'

You can also see teh Bensimon shoes at shopbop.com. I don't know how many views there are there either. I think converse are very distinctive and these don't look like them at all. Especially if you get a pair of slip-ons without laces.
