How often do you clean the cat litter

Cat Genie! Most amazing thing ever. Two cats, no litter box issues at all.

2 cats, 2 boxes. Scoop once a week and change litter once a week. Sometimes more often if we can smell it (summer) or if the more fastidious cat seems displeased with the box.

3 cats, 3 boxes all in a spare bathroom. We clean them every few days, often every other day and replace the litter rarely.

The key if you don't want to scrub a lot is to keep the litter deep and use a strong clumping litter. I use Tidy Cat Multi-Cat. I put 5-6 inches of litter in there and it soaks everything up into a hard, scoopable ball before it ever reaches the plastic. None of my cats have accidents and it doesn't smell unless I go past every other day.

We have two cats and one robot too. The cycling gets unreliable lately, I found the thing upside down blinking like a Christmas tree more often. So I manually cycle it 2-3 times a day. It still beats scooping hands down. It really improved our quality of life: no scooping, much less odor.

2 cats and 2 litter boxes. Scoop 2x week (sometimes 3) and clean out liter entirely about every 3 weeks.

1 cat, 1 box, clean 2-3x daily. Clean the whole box out once every 2 months (but we never let it go longer than that). Cat has never had an "accident"

We don't use a liner but we do use "swheat scoop" which is a flushable, wheat based cat litter. Makes scooping so much easier and we've never had a problem with the toilet.

Not intended as a criticism to those who can go 2-3 weeks without changing the box, but my cat's litter box would absolutely reek if I waited that long.

Maybe her urine smell is stronger that most, but 1 week is about the maximum it can go without starting to stink.

3 cats, 4 boxes, one of which is a huuuge RubberMaid plastic container originally meant to be an underbed storage box, so, you can tell, that's pretty darn huge. It's like a huge cat sandbox.

Scoop 2 times a day during the week (mornings and evenings); scoop whenever I walk by there on the weekends (when home from work). Use clumping pine litter. Put massive amounts of litter in each box so urine clumps up before touching bottom of box.

Change litter and clean out boxes and the whole shebang, once every 2-3 months.

No smells except for the smell of pine.

Do you have one of the little litter boxes? What size is your litter box? What type of litter do you use?

PS Litter is poured directly into box --- and added on a continuing basis as needed. No liners; our cats do not tolerate the liners.

No, it's a rather deep/large box called "Clevercat." It has a lid with a large hole for her to go in. It's actually great because it solved the problem of litter flying on the floor because she vigorously covers up her deposits. We use special liners for the box and Tidy-Cat Non-clumping litter. Wish we could go longer than a week w/o changing!

We have 2 cats and 2 robots. I totally agree it is the best thing ever! No more litter scooping

I am not a cat person and I hate the liter so I scoop twice a day and change the box every 2-3 weeks.
