I'm not the OP, but I think it's a fun question. Any question that gives me a good mental jerk-off is worthwhile. |
Again eve if it were proven that he was born overseas, it wouldn't matter since he would be a natural born citizen because of his mother's citizenship. Being born on American soil is not required for him to get hat citizenship.
Where he was born would only matter if he had two non-American parents and could only establish citizenship through his place of birth. But no one is doubting his mom's citizenship. |
And Kennedy won in '60 due to shenanigans in WV ... do we go back and undo his legislation ,too... and, 0h, if he's out then LBJ wouldn't have been Pres. & the entire slew of civil rights legislation etc. never would've happened, so they're out too ... ?
It's pretty much mental masturbation ... |
My recollection is that the shenanigans were in Chicago (Obama's influence, no doubt). WV was important because he beat Hubert Humphrey in the primary there, showing that a Catholic could win even in the Protestant midsection of the country. Also noteworthy was the fact that even though there was a reasonable chance that a court challenge might have changed the result, Nixon chose not to dispute it because Kennedy had won the popular vote. Placing the will of the people above the desire for victory had apparently gone out of fashion by 2000. |
If Obama's mother influenced Mayor Daily to swing the vote in Chicago to enable JKF to win the election and JFK gets assininated. Does that make all the legislation passed by LBJ illegal.... why's the sky blue Mommy?
Shut up kid, I'm mentally masturbating |
The sky is blue because light from that end of the spectrum is more heavily refracted. It's a great question, though not as much fun as the one about what happens if a president is declared Constitutionally unqualified after the fact. But to get back to the original question, I think the answer might be that once a president is sworn in according to law, the only way to remove him (or her) is impeachment, and there has never been any implication that impeachment nullifies actions taken while in office. Unless, of course the impeachment occurs on a day when the sky is gray. (That's a joke, my child.) |
Obama would be removed from office. Biden would be president and would affirm legislation. Republicans would landslide the following elections. |
Highly insulting comments regarding a Yale grad. So much for the Ivy education! |
Wow. You sound pleasant. I'm a big supporter of Obama, and I think it's an interesting question. there are still birthers out there, obviously, so why not discuss what would happen if they somehow won? I also wonder if the outcome would be different if it was also proven that Obama truly believed that he was born in Hawaii. That his family was responsible for the false birth certificate so that he could have all the advantages of being a US-born citizen. Again, totally nonsensical to think that his family would have the resources to pull that off, but just another "what if." |
Do you spend time looking at real estate on the moon because Newt Gingrich thinks we should colonize it? |
i think George W. Bush would be president again |
AHHHHHHHHHH Oh, wait, that's not possible due to the 2-term rule. Phew. I almost had to go hurl. |
Um, legacy? You didn't think he qualified on brains alone, did you? Although, to be fair, there was an interesting documentary that PBS aired before the 2004 election that had clips of him running for Congress in the 70s or 80s? He sounded somewhat intelligent at that point...before he killed all those brain cells with booze and blow. |
Presidents must be born on American soil, right?
Obama's link to Kenya seems to be fairly tenuous - his father (who he barely knew), half siblings and a grandmother who he met as an adult. There is zero indication he was born there. His parents weren't married that long. |
That is a really unfair comparison! I'd put the odds of Bush as cyborg are at 50/50. |
