A profound and useful post. You union trolls with name calling are a sad commentary on the decline of Montgomery County. Get a grip. You folks have run the school system into the ground with your Apple ballot shenanigans. If only you union trolls had useful arguments, u wouldn't have to stoop to name calling. OP do the research and try to understand why the unions are desperate to stop the exodus of well prepared students from MCPS. To keep their fat coffers filled they need to stop the decline. |
+1. Yeah, Bethesda schools have better outcomes because of the better prepared student body. The unions have less influence over the teachers who pander to the wealthy. |
PP enough already with the repetitive pointless union-bashing.
MoCo schools have increasing enrollment, and the increases have been above projections for the last several years. If you go over to the private school thread you'll find posters saying that the schools are at least as good academically as the private schools, although admittedly they have larger class sizes and fewer specials, such as art, during the week. OP, I think there are a lot of good schools in MoCo but I don't know the rental market that well (or how many BRs you want). You might look up around Kentlands, or College Gardens. |
According to graphs from the MCPS department of long range planning MCPS has seen a steep decline in enrollment of white students. That decline is continuing. That is a fact. MCPS performance has also declined. There was a drop in the recent MSAs. Do your own research on MCPS and its controlling unions. Look at the frivolous spending on TV shows for the super and the PR department. Then decide if it is a child oriented school system or not. |
Ok so apparently there can no longer be any discussion of MCPS without the whole thing being derailed by the rabid dog.
Honestly, if you don't like MCPS, don't send your kids there. But shut up about it already, and let other people have a discussion. |
Union attack dog: let there be an unfettered discussion. This is America and parents need to look at all sides of the question before making a decision. Stop your efforts to line your pockets with our tax payer dollars while standards slide downhill. Enough from you folks who have nothing better to do. |
OP, if you haven't figured this out already, in fact if you aren't the OP of that thread, there is a useful discussion on the "looking for an apt with good elementary school." |
You are confusing several different posters. I'm not the 1st PP above, but I'm another poster who is sick of this rabid anti-union poster hijacking every MoCo thread. I'm in no way associated with the union and I doubt the others here are. Please stop with the repetitive anti-union posts - we got your message the first time. Now want to have a grown-up discussion. |
WTF is wrong with you? I have nothing to do with a union (I am not actually a fan of unions in general). I have nothing to do with MCPS administration. I am just sick and tired of your repetitive postings that really add nothing to the discussion. You say let there be unfettered discussion, but you are the one hindering discussion with your craziness. You have said your piece (about 20 different ways), now go away. |
You are a sad excuse for a human being. Your relapse into profanity shows you up. By the way--I posted twice!!! |
13:20, I think the meds work best if you take them every day. |
NP here. And the cure for bad writing ("relapse"?) is a writing course. Unfortunately, introspection, which this PP clearly lacks, is the only cure for being an uneducated person who has been conned into identifying with the goals of the 1% (I'm being sort of sarcastic here, but you get my point), in other words for being a total TOOL. |
Having read this thread for awhile I found it hard to keep my silence. None of you do yourself any good with the horrible stuff you write.
I can just imagine what your children must be like. Thank you for opening my eyes to the true MOCO. |
re·lapse (r-lps) intr.v. re·lapsed, re·laps·ing, re·laps·es 1. To fall or slide back into a former state. 2. To regress after partial recovery from illness. 3. To slip back into bad ways; backslide. Perhaps you need the education and lessons in civility? |
Skipping aside the petty bickering, one data point for measuring schools is to visit www.greatschools.com. It will give you one datum by which to compare schools. |
