I call your bluff, troll! |

My kids love Kraft Mac'n'cheese and Rice A Roni. They get to eat them about 1x/week.
I haven't taken my 14 y.o. DS in for his retainer check because he's stopped wearing it(~3 months) and I don't want to be yelled at by the orthodontist. We've been eating way too much carry-out lately. I'm not good about enforcing rules and consequences...I just want us all to get along. I know you didn't ask for this part , but: Reasons I am supermom: Set high expectations for moral/ethical behavior and academics. Try to have fun and laugh with my kids as much as possible. Try to get to know my kids as individuals and love them for who they are. |

OP-lol, this was us a few weeks ago at our friend's house. He was sitting quietly in the highchair for almost an hour. Pure bliss. We let him have chips too. |
I am not a sanctimommy. I don't, in fact, drink when I take care of my children. If I did, that might make me one. But I don't, so the label is inaccurate. |
I guess if you have issues with alcoholism, which I'm assuming must be the case with you then this is a good idea. For the rest of us a glass of wine in the evening when giving the kids dinner or putting them to bed is perfectly normal and I say that as someone who drinks rarely. |

sanctimommy doesn't even know what sanctimommy mean! hahaha
sometimes, i let my kids watch caillou during meals. my 16 mon old can navigate through my iphone fairly well sometimes, even though i'm done working, i continue to leave my kids with the nanny and i surf dcum. |
FYI. Sanctimommy doesn't mean what you think it means. |

Actually, it was the pp who called me "sanctimommy" who seems to be unclear on the definition, as do you. To be sanctimonious, one must be a hypocrite. By definition. In this particular instance, I'm not a hypocrite. I don't drink in front of my children. I hope that clears things up. |

sanctimommy 35 up, 8 down
A parent who is overly devoted, micromanaging the lives of their children, from the food they ingest to the activities they participate in. Sanctimommies look down their noses at those who are more liberal in their parenting approach. My mother is a sanctimommy because she won't let me eat any food with partially hydrogenated oil in it. She says it's like eating plastic. from the urban dictionary. |
It is a mash of "sanctimonious" and "mommy" is it not? One can only be "sanctimonious" if one is a hypocrite and engages in behavior you scold others for using. I don't actually do this behavior, ergo I'm not a hypocrite. You seem to have a different meaning of the term. Perhaps you could enlighten us as to your understanding of the etymology. |
So, the Urban Dictionary seems to lack basic etymological credibility? Is that what you're saying? Look up the word sanctimonious in Websters and get back to me. |
| Lol pp you are cracking me up. I'd love to spend a few hours with your family and just sit back and observe. |
