No mock transfer

Purely money making bs from SG. I've had a successful ivf with live birth without a mock transfer.

They did mine while I was on BCPs.

HSG/saline etc. only reveal if further evaluation is needed. If there's a hint of a problem, RE will go in with an endoscope.

I cycled at SIRM and never had one. It's done by some, but I think most places don't.

SIRM did it for me.

To answer OP's question..
OP, have you done IUI's before or any procedure like HSG where the catheter went in? Did you have any trouble with that? Was your uterus straight, cervix at the right place and the catheter went in smoothly? If so, don't worry about mock transfer. Mock transfers do not look at polyps, scars etc. It is only done to make sure if you need a regular catheter etc., so that there is no rush or confusion on the day of transfer. IMO, mock transfers are waste of money. I have been to 3 clinics and have done mock transfers. Wasted almost 3x$400 on that.
You can ask your RE if you need one as there is no harm in getting it done, but don't get panicky if you don't have one.

Not true. I had a polyp detected during mock which is most likely why I couldn't get pregnant on my own, all my numbers are great and so are DH's.

Not completely true either. It just happened that they saw a polyp while doing mock transfer. It's good that they were able to catch it. But the goal of the mock transfer is not to look for polyps. Fibroids and polyps can be looked in to detail through either hysteroscopy or saline sonogram. Mock transfers are done to check orientation of cervix, uterine cavity (whether it looks normal for transfer), checking the size of catheter and if it's able to go in the uterus the way your RE wants it.
