| Old Gtown Grill in Bethesda. And Tastee is about as traditional diner as you get in this area. At least the one in Silver Spring. |
| Woodmont Grill...Parkway Deli...not traditional diners, but excellent fare. |
| I second the Parkway rec. Not a traditional diner, but great food. And I'm fron dinerland myself. |
Parkway Deli is a Jewish Deli, not a diner. It's great food and I love it, but it isn't a diner. They're different. |
| Cookies Kitchen in Pasadena, MD is the best real authentic diner in Maryland. Hands down. No question! |
Yes, but there are no good diners in DC, so it'll have to do. |
Agree. There's American City Diner in CC, but I like Parkway better. |
| OP, THIS IS DC WE DON'T HAVE REAL DINERS ANYMORE. WE GOT RID OF THEM WHEN WE SQUEEZED OUT THE MIDDLE CLASSES FROM UPPER NORTHWEST. THE MIDDLE CLASSES FLED TO ROCKVILLE ETC AND ARE FORCED TO EAT AT APPLEBEES AND OLIVE GARDEN AND SILVER DINER AND OTHER CORPORATE FERN BAR/DINER/RESTAURANTS, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. THIS NOT NY/NJ/BOSTON/PORTLAND WHERE YOU HAVE A THRIVING ARTISINAL MIDDLE/WORKING CLASS, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. |
| 19:02, please don't write in all caps. It makes it difficult to read, detracts from any point you are trying to make, and makes you seemed unhinged. |
| I second American City Diner. Good shakes and malts. |
| Pancake House in Bethesda? |
| Florida Avenue Grill |
| Tally Ho has some good diner food |
19:02 IS unhinged. Eloquent, passionate and definitely unhinged. |
Are you J a son? |
