Jenn-air or kitchenaid appliances?

Anonymous
Our kitchen aid dishwasher is awful. You have to take it apart and unplug and plug back in the control board on a regular basis - or its just totally dead.
It's a known problem but when I called kitchen aid they didn't let me know that they sent out a tech and charged us $150 to do it. Dishwasher was 1.5 years old.

Also, the interior parts regularly dissolve and need to be replaced.

Hate hate hate!

"Regularly dissolve?" You mean, "dissolve" like how the Wicked Witch melts when water is thrown on her?

I'd buy it just to see that happen!

Alas, I've owned Kitchen-Aids and have never witnessed this phenomenon, let alone the other experiences you described.

You needed to re-open a years-old thread just to show us how nasty you are?

Props on the zombie thread revival.

For those who search the forum for KitchenAid appliances in the future: I bought a house with brand new KitchenAid appliances a year ago. They are awful. The screen on the oven died within 6 months, the dishwasher does a woefully bad job cleaning and has rubber bits that break off, and the refrigerator can’t even manage to alert us when the door is ajar.
