| Personally, I don't like these shoes at all. However, maybe lots of attorneys in NYC are wearing them? Platform peep toes are pretty on-trend right now. This is not a trend that will stick around (or so I hope), so take comfort in knowing that she probably won't be wearing them for too much longer.. |

Im an attorney, you will find me wearing these in the office.

| It's very interesting to me considering if a receptionist wore them she would be called trashy or hookers shoes...I guess like another poster said if she is senior I guess she earned the right to wear them |
|
I don't see the problem with the shoes the OP posted. I don't like wearing high heels like this at all, either.
For the Neiman Marcus/Laboutin poster, could it be you don't like the OP's shoes because they cost $52 to your $845? |
| The platforms are what gives the shoes the hooker label, without them, they will be totally appropriate. |
| ^^ Agree with the PP. I despise platform pumps, I can't wait for this trend to pass. |
Skanky! 8) |
x2 |
| When I was clerking, an ausa wore super high pumps at trial. Not platform, but really high. They were distracting, not in a good way. Not so much that they were hooker-ish, but just did not fit the setting. Maybe the male jurors liked them? |
No thanks, too painful in those shoes. |
| I’m the lobo poster, I was pointing out that they could be stylish platforms and that perhaps the OP has the perception that they are “striper shoes”. Platform pumps come in all price ranges and a wide range of styles. FWIW I’m only 5’2 and always wear heals most of them 4”+ |
I work in a medium-sized business, and the company president used to wear shoes like this ALL THE TIME with suits. I think she thought she looked stunning. Everyone made fun of her. Especially when she started limping around in them b/c they hurt her feet .

Only if the legs matches the shoes.
Seriously, it's shoes. It's not like she's going around wearing see-through shirts. It's easier with guys. We can tell them "hey, you look like an idiot" without them feeling all hurt and stuff cause they'll tell you where to shove it, but change their wardrobe without suing. |
| How short is the skirt? |
|
oh good Lord no!
for a night out? fine for work? Who's sleeping with the boss? |
