Scrapbooking rooms - I have lots of time to kill.
Gift wrapping rooms - My hobby is spending DH's money.
Huge closet spaces for me - Jack for DH, he's on the back burner in our marriage.
Incredible views - I look out of the windows a lot.
Neighbors can't be too close - I don't want them to hear us not having sex.
Open floor plan for entertaining - I have a zillion friends.
Stainless steel appliances - I'm into fads.
Granite counter tops - I have no design sense.

Lol! The men always want a "man cave" to avoid the harpy they married who is forcing them to buy more house than they can afford.

Ditto. 8)

I love Sarah's House, but they haven't had new episodes in a year.

I love when the couples are in the D.C. area, and end up not buying because they couldn't find the stainless steel, brand new, master suite connected to the double sink bathroom for 300,000 in Vienna, Va.

What's the deal with double sinks in the master bath?

I always wonder this. The look of disappointment on their faces when they see the master has no double sink. These people should be rounded up and sent to work in a coltan mine in DRC for a few years.

That's the demand that always gets me riled up.

I also get annoyed when they go into some huge walk-in closet and the wife says to the husband, "Where are you going to put your stuff?" Get some new material.

I have watched so much HGTV it's embarrassing, but my favorite shows now are Sarah's House (agree there's no more new episodes!) and Secrets from a Stylist and the High-Low Project. Wish there was more of Sofie Aslopp's The Unsellables, as well as my FAVORITE show, The Stagers, with Matthew from Dekora in Canada (of course). LOVED what they did on that show!

Divine Design. I wish I could hire her. I've sort if outgrown house hunters for the reasons already mentioned, but I Love real estate intervention!

Anything with Mike Holmes! Holmes Inspection and Holmes on Homes, love them. Also love Income Property and agree that House Hunters is getting old. I sort of like that new show with the kitchen cousins. And Selling LA and Selling New York are awesome just to see how "other half" lives. No one ever sells anything though! It's pretty much all I watch.

13:46, I forgot about Real Estate Intervention! My husband and I love that, but only when Mike Aubrey is on. The new version sucks.

Anonymous wrote:House Hunters -- I love it but it's a total fake!

People on the show have already closed on their choice of house, and they go back and find two others to show them making a "choice."

OMG! You've totally ruined that show for me. Why should I spend 30 minutes watching them choose a house they already own? Oh well, I can always fall back on other shows.

Oh my...haven't watched recently...what happened to Mike Aubry? He *IS* REI. Wouldn't be much of a show without him.

I love House Hunters, but I really need to stop watching it. We're in the process of looking for a home and when I see the kinds of houses people get on much smaller budgets it makes me want to pack my bags and leave DC.
