What happened to Baby Lisa?

Anonymous
The whole is heartbreaking. What an adorable baby girl...

I suspect the mother accidentally killed her - maybe she was smothered. I also suspect that she was so drunk that the whole recollection is fuzzy and that it feels almost dreamlike to the mother. But I do think she did something. Stranger abductions - in a person's house - are soooooooo rare.

I'm not talking a case of beer or a box of wine - one glass of wine does NOT turn you into a monster who would kill your kid if you aren't an alcoholic. A drink or even two does not change MOST people - obviously, you shouldn't get behind the wheel with your kids after you've had a drink, but I think trying to get all high and mighty about "never drink if your kids are home with you" is a bit goofy.

Another drunk parent making excuses for themselves. What a shame!

Sorry hit submit too soon...

Save your alcohol for when you don't have an incapable under your watch. This is very sad and irresponsible!

She could pull a Casey Anthony and just keep lying, at least long enough until the forensic evidence is gone. Call Jose Baez, stat.

But even if this is the case-- where's the baby? Someone was lucid enough to dispose of the body....

I just looked it up, and it is still in the top 1000 names. It has dropped off a lot, but I'd rather this than Naveah which is #25.

The name Jennifer is still on the list, too. Actually, top 150ish.

Sorry, name popularity is sidetracking from the topic, but it is always of interest to me.

I love the names that not everyone is using anymore - I would never even consider a top 100 name. My kid's name isn't even top 1000, but it was popular when we were kids. They always come back - it just usually takes about 2 generations.

Because you're out in MO actually looking for this baby, right?

Not sure what happened to baby Lisa, but I'm sure Mom was involved. One thing's for sure...baby Lisa is white, so police will stay on the case and the media will stay interested.

Shut up. Just because you can't control yourself while having one glass of wine doesn't mean the rest of us are so out of control.

I am sorry that you have such issues with self control that you can't have a couple of drinks while still being responsible. However, don't extrapolate from your own desperate and depressing situation to normal people.

I think you should be asking yourself why you are so "the sky is falling." I'm not defensive at all. You're projecting and barfing your issues all over here. Just pointing it out that you might have a lack of control issue.

It is more than one poster arguing that having one drink doesn't make you a raging alcoholic. I know because I posted the original post, but none of the others.

You told me to shut up. If that's not being defensive I think you had more than just one glass.
