Get your kids involved in sports. Presto, all your free time = gone!

I wish. DC has some special needs which preclude DC from doing team and competitive sports, unfortunately.

DH and I agreed today that when our kids are out of school, we are headed north.

If I have to spend the rest of my days in this climate I will kill myself.

I am looking forward to wearing jeans and a sweater. Can't wait to eat Chili and Squash Soup. Plus, the best holiday ever...Halloween!

No. I'm loving time with the kids and the relaxed summer schedule. Back to school? No thanks! Not looking forward to night starting at 4:30. BLECH!

You know, they have excellent schools up north, too. Why wait?

Because our kids are in middle school, and a move would be very hard on them at this point. Also, DH and I are 50+ and in stable jobs, which is worth a lot in this economy. We don't want to start all over again on that score.

I'm from New England and deeply regret agreeing to move here to begin with. Had I known what summers would really entail, I'd never have agreed to it.

No way. I'm a teacher and I nearly always feel like summer is cut short b/c our county starts school the week before Labor Day.

I love it here! Including the mild winter and scorching summer. I want to slow the next three weeks d-o-w-n. I am so not looking forward to school/homework with the kids.

I lived two years in Wisconsin and it has ruined me. I can't stand long cold winters. Yick.
