Pretty much what I do. If the bagel ruins ate on sale, I will use those.

We make steel cut oats in the crockpot overnight and heat up to eat during the week.

Wow. What do you do earn that many exercise points? I work out for 45 minutes and only earn 3 as far as I can figure it.

New poster here.

My spin class alone is 9 points. Tomorrow I will run for an hour (probably 7 miles or so) and I will earn 10 points for that. According to my HR monitor watch my run tomorrow will kill 720cal and I am going to be wanting to knaw my arm off all day tomorrow and will blow through my 26 points in 1.5 meals.

If you are only earning 3 Points in 45 minuets, you really need to ramp up your effort.

How well does your HR Monitor align with WW activity points? The scale (low, moderate, high) seems very coarse, and I bet i really mis-estimate my APs using it! Tempted to get a HRM for better tracking of calories burned...

Do you know the rough translation of WWpts to calories? For example:

-50 min spin class gives me 9 points. In that class I burn around 575 cal give or take 25.

I can tell you that I do love my HRM, especially for the cal burned. I'm sure it is not 100% accurate, but it gives me a good idea of how hard I have worked. I have done spin and only burned 450pts and I know after that class that I was really lazy and did not work my hardest. If I burn over 600, I'm really proud. It means that I kept my HR pretty high.

If I do an exercise that burns, say, 800cal and above, my hunger will be off the charts for 24hrs and it makes it very hard to keep control.

WW is roughly 40 calories per point. I think the activity points are supposed to represent about 1/2 the colories you burn exercising (or else there would obviously be no benefit) so if you burned 800 calories, divide by 40/ and then cut the number in 1/2 (or just divide by 80) and that would be about 10 points. I have never come anywhere close to that

Second this. In the freezer section.

Well that is great to know. I posted about about spin.

The WW calculation is very flawed.

My DH is 220#s and we run together, he almost doubles my calorie burn because of his mass. I suppose the way to go would be to do the calc yourself with your HRM.

Today I did spin and burned 600cal, so as per your formula I should get 7.5pts, according to my WW online tool, I actually get 9 points. However, I'll still take the 9 points. I find that WW is a tiny bit too restrictive for me and leaves me pretty hungy. However I'm already normal weight, just tring to lose the last 8#s.
