I look very young for my age and had my first at a relatively young age to boot (had her at 27, pregnant at 26 but had been married already for 4 yrs) so I got the teen mom thing. Annoying as hell.

I still get asked frequently, usually by other women, how old I am. Usually when people meet me after conference calls they also comment on how i 'sound older' on the phone. Huh? I've only once had a man comment on how young I look but he was trying to hit on me.

I have always dressed VERY conservatively in order to avoid as many ageist comments as possible.

My 35 year old sister, who is very slim, went to an Al-Anon meeting and introduced herself to the leader. After, the woman was searching around for Al-Anon literature for my sis and we looked at it when we got home. It was all Al-A-Teen stuff. We got a huge kick out of that.

My favorite story for this is when I was seven months pregnant with my fourth kid. I was returning a stack of library books one night, and I had my hair in pig tails and wore a Jean jacket. In the elevator up to the kids level, a middle-aged man asked pleasantly, "Are you here to work on your science fair project?". I almost passed out with joy. When I asked him how old he thought I was, he mumbled "12?". How he missed the pregnant tummy, I have no idea...

I am constantly asked if I am the nanny. Could also be that my kids are a different color than I am, but that's always followed by "you look too young to have 8 kids!"

I just think that one day I am going to wake up and all the sleep deprivation of the past 14 years will suddenly show up on my face. Or I am like The Picture of Dorian Gray, and I am in big trouble.

Why do people still think I am under 21? Never smoked, never drank (maybe a girly drink once or twice), chubby cheeks, long hair, long skirts. But to be honest, I think a fabulous love life is the real secret. My high school sweetheart and I just keep each other young

When you ID me at a liquor store, YES its real...go call the cops. And then when you figure out its real please don't give me the "oh you look so young speech."

When I am at Red Door Spa for a massage and you are a masseuse I have never been to, do not ask me if I am old enough to be here for a massage. Read the paper you give me to fill out with my age and then look around...you will see Im not with anyone else especially a parent.

When I pick up my car from servicing, do not ask me if this is my car and I am old enough to drive. YES you idiot...now give me my car and get the hell out of my face.

I am sure some of you will think this is great to look young, and I do agree. In a few years I will be laughing in the faces of all the rude people out there who think the above responses to a stranger are funny and/ or ok. But its completely uneccessary!

I cannot wait to be pregnant because I am going to take off my wedding and engagement rings, wear no make up, and will love seeing the utter disgust from people about a "teen pregnancy."

Does anyone else have a problem to the extreme like this? Come on I know I am not the only pudgy baby face out there

Thanks pp but I don't need a bunch of miserable wenches posting nasty things when I don't think I posted anything worthwhile of it. I was trying to convey an annoying situation and it is frustrated when trolls come in and post something mean for no reason.

This happens to me all the time. Worst is when people do not take me seriously because they think I'm so young - it drives me crazy especially in work related situations.

I finally stopped getting offered children's menus when I was 19. But I get flagged for being under 18 and 21 all the time.

People tell me all the time that I'm lucky and to enjoy it while I can and that someday I'll wish I still looked young. But I'm not so sure about that.
