New LAMB Campus questions

given that the expansion campus only has 60 kids, I would guess that less than 10 of them would be from West of the Park.

But we are - so if the other family wants to talk - we would be interested.

Very doubtful that there are enough for a bus, however there may be enough for a carpool. Try calling the school and ask if they can put you in touch with an outreach person from your neighborhood.

My DC was accepted, but we live west of the school, not west of the park. I'd be interested in a bus/carpool situation, but that probably depends on other families' locations.

West of the park here - it takes me about 45 minutes to an hour to get to the school location during morning rush hour, particularly because of construction at Riggs Road and South Dakota

We called LAMB to specifically find out about aftercare at 2nd campus. We were told they're in the process of hiring a new provider.

Does anyone know the answers to the following questions -
1. What will be school hours?
2. Will they have before and aftercare? What would be the hours for these? What is the cost?

Thanks - I am sure I will come up with more questions and hoping the greater DCUM community can help.

I am very green to DCUM so whomever has just posted that they are west of the park and a new MP campus family, we are in Shepherd Park and we'd love to talk carpools...I don't know how else to get in touch so find me and we can discuss further!

Maybe carpooling with families from your neighborhood who are sending their kids to other Brookland-area popular charters (Yu Ying, Stokes, Inspired) would work -- though that means more than one destination, obviously.

check out this thread, we've started a Michigan Park parents google group. i think if you PM the OP she should be able to add you to the google group - that's probably the best place to start. i know there is at least one shepherd park family and a bunch in petworth.

I am the OP from the above thread and the owner of the Google group. Thank you for bringing this group to the attention of other interested LAMB families. I would like to get as many people on the group as we can find, but wanted to be cautious of posting a separate message to broadly announce the group to all of DCUM readers. Anyone interested in joining, please email me at jbrichgels@gmail.com and I will invite you.
