A meditative yoga sit-in in honor of the victim, maybe.

I think that is what they are planning. They are renovating and then going to re-dedicate the store after the new opening. I did not step foot in it before though and probably wont after. Especially since I am kind of disgusted at Lululemon management (upper mgmt especially) in general with how the whole thing panned out.

Could you expand on this? I probably out of the loop, here. Although, I think it's ridiculous they asked the victim to search another employee's bag.

Ha if I do its going to spark an argument, I know it! Because I stated my thoughts on another thread and got attacked for that. I do agree (and I worked in retail) that it was ridiculous to have to search her (I will not name her anymore) bag alone especially if mgmt knew the girl had a stealing problem. I have to believe the news sources in that there was an issue at the G-town store and she was removed because of it. Whether Lululemon has confirmed this or not I believe there was something going on they knew about, and they did not properly handle the situation. Thats MY opinion so please no arguments!

While they may not have handled the situation well, I doubt they had any idea it would go so wrong. It is wrong to blame the company or the victim: the murderer is in the wrong.

As I said, I am entitled to my opion, and its foolosh of you to say I am WRONG. You do not know all the facts either. I am not going to say you are 100% wrong to not think they should have handled the situation better. Also, who would blame the vitim? And of course I blame the murderer. But things arent always cut and dry.

NP here. This is America, right? The murderer AND the company are in the wrong. That is all.

Agreed! Moving on now.

I also agree that it was they shouldn't have asked Jayna to search BNs bag along IF they already knew she had a stealing problem. But I'm not sure she searched it alone, there may have been other people around at closing. It is a common retail practice (and usually mandatory) for employees to search other employees bags, and I don't think Lululemon can or should be faulted on that alone. And yes, there may be more to the story...

Never shopped at that Lululemon anyway, but will probably purchase other Lulu pants etc. in the future.

I bet any other business moving into that space would get a pretty good discount on the lease.

Oh please. I go into the Starbucks in Glover Park/Upper Georgetown all the time and THREE people were murdered there. Time passes. Life goes on.

What are they supposed to do??? Turn it into a shrine? Please.

Yeah, exactly. I can't believe they were even closed this long. I mean I could see a few days to do the crime scene stuff and then clean up but this is a retail business.

PP, so we can relate to the murder and you obviously can not. You don't have to be so cold and psychotic about it.

If I'm not mistaken, sellers are required to disclose this.

Actually, at least for Maryland homes, it's the opposite. Buyers need to do their own research on crimes or deaths by natural causes, even those that occurred in the home.

Can I just say, omg, this thread. Why don't you just set up a tent and hand out burning torches and pitchforks right outside the Lululemon store?!You could sell tickets! There's free wifi with the Apple store right next door--and I think people would pay real $$$$ to watch you do it.
