Bare legs Friday night?

I think that fashion-wise going without hose is what you are suppose to do, but I would have a hard time doing it because I have my winter "white" legs. I hate that hose are out of style. I actually like wearing them (holds everything in nice and tight!) and smoothes out the legs. Can't wait until they are back in!

I wear bare breasts but only in the summer. I wear bear legs in the winter (literally, bearskin).

I go to several cocktail events every December and nobody ever has stockings on unless they are over 70 years old. Nobody.

Being that it is almost April, I would not even consider wearing stockings. In fact, I only wear tights when I am wearing boots with a dress.

Was at an event last weekend and thought the ladies in bare (very white) legs looked odd. It was freezing outside, most were wearing winter-weight attire and shoes (it would have been different if they were wearing sundresses and sandals) and there were lots of goosebumps to be seen. What is the problem with an appropriate pair of sheer hose?

People who can't accept the fact that they are now OLD and it's not summer. Maybe they don't have mirrors?

I really don't get this idea that a perfectly nice pair of sheer or patterned hose looks worse than your heinous winter legs. Would you let DH wear shorts to the event?

Yes you obviously do not get out much or go classy evening events. With nice formal dresses you do not wear pumps or boots. Strappy dress shoes are not the same as sandals. Maybe you should buy a magazine like Vogue or InSyle.

If you have gorgeous, smooth, silky, tan legs, go ahead. If they are white, bumpy with spider veins (like mine)- don't.

I do not think she knows that there are summer sandals like wedges and espadrills and then strappy dress shoes that you wear with a formal or nice cocktail dress. Sounds like she does not dress up often or ever.
