She's getting married and moving. I think to NY, but I don't really remember. |
| Dr. Sedgi is awesome. Great bedside manner and super-knowledgeable. But she only does GYN, not OB. |
| sedghi and muangman |
|
Engel and Osmund. Engel did my scheduled c-section and he was wonderful. When I called in asking for therapist recommendations for ppd, he actually called me back himself to talk.
Osmund is great too. He was my second choice for OB. |
|
I saw Engel for all of my appointments, even tho I knew that that odds that he would be the one to deliver me were low. I didn't love him, but he was fine at those appointments. However he actually was on call when I went into labor, and he was great that day. He left before I delivered tho, and Dr. Johnson delivered me and I loved her.
I should also add that when I found out I was pregnant and called to schedule my initial appointment I flat out asked the receptionist who her favorite was, and she said Engle and scheduled me with him. |

YES: Jackson, Nevin, Engle, Johnson, Hill
NO: Sartawi (gone anyway - she tried to bully me into some terrible medical advice a few years back...), Mckanders (rough, bad bedside manner, cold), Mungmen (bad bedside manner), Abraham (rough, bad bedside manner), Reiter (bad bedside manner, never reads your chart, completely uninterested, cold, he should seriously retire) OK: Osmund, Davis I suggest you go to the Chevy Chase office over DC, the customer service is 20 times better...and Chevy Chase actually answers their phone in a reasonable amount of time, unlike the DC office... |
| Muangman is the best but she's only at the CC location once per week, so next to impossible to get an appt with her. I think she's mainly at their VA location. I've given RH multiple chances and wanted to like them so badly, but just can't make excuses for them anymore. They are disorganized and impersonal. I made an appt. to see Dr. Footer next week and hope to have a better experience. |
| I had horrendous issues with Reiter. In my opinion, he has no business seeing patients. I actually tried to leave the practice mid-pregnancy because of him, but my insurance company wouldn't let me (they prepaid the pregnancy). Luckily Abraham delivered and she was great. |

LOVE Peterson, he is my favorite by far. Spends alot of time answering questions, and even asked my husband and mother if they had questions when they came with me to appts.
I also like Jackson, Osmun and Abraham, would be comfortable with any of them deliverng me. Only had a phone discussion with Engel but he was pleasant and patient with my FTM questions. I do NOT like Muangman, she seems very high strung and very interventionalist. She referred us to a specialist when we saw some genetic test results that were on the high end of NORMAL. We retested and the results were again NORMAL but even more perfect -- turns out the first test had been administered a little too early. She totally overreacted and cost me a week of sleepless nights. I would not trust her judgment during a prolonged or difficult delivery. |
| loved Loveland; had a great VBAC delivery with Dr. Osmun; and, not disounting others' complaints but just relaying my experience, was very pleased with Dr. Reither when he delivered via CS my first child after 1.5 days of labor. He took beautiful pictures of her and delivered them the next day, and FWIW, the nurse said he was excellent and the most demanding of the nurses (in a good way) vis-a-vis his patients' care. He also kindly assured me 6 weeks later that there was absolutely nothing I could have done to avoid the CS, and for baby # 2 he was receptive to a VBAC. |
| Dr. Paula Radecki- Very nice & professional. |
| UGH R+H...just don't go there. Even if you find "the" doctor that is a good fit for you, you just don't want to be there b/c you can not be guaranteed of seeing "your" doctor when you may need to. I was seeing Loveland and had a scheduled c-sec so I thought "I'm good". Then with pg #2, I had a very sad and unexpected loss, although I wasn't sure that's what it was when it happened. I called and was told on the phone...you're having a miscarriage...don't bother to come in. You can get checked at your scheduled visit in 2 weeks and see if its all gone. wtf? I insisted on coming in and being checked. After the ultrasound, a doctor I never had seen before opens the door and w/o introducing herself and with her hand still on the door tells me I'm miscarrying and to call back if I the bleeding gets heavy. That's it. And she left. Horrible. No calls after that. Dr. Loveland didn't even know until I told her weeks later. And frankly, she was cold when I told her (she was clearly feeling rushed and didn't want me to get emotional so she brushed it off) . So for that and other reasons, Loveland has lost her luster with me. When she's on, she's great. But she's rarely "on" anymore. Always rushed, impatient, detached and with a harsh judgmental attitude that seems to be getting worse. I'm not going back to her again and I'm not going back to R+H again. Its not just rude and insensitive, its dangerous. |
| Can't stand Loveland. Big thumbs down. |
22:52--- I had a similar experience w them during my miscarriage. I'm so sorry to hear it

| Loveland delivered my first two pregnancies and I thought she was great. However I too was disappointed how she handled some later issues and left for my third pregnancy. You think she is great and then hey presto her true colors show. Especially when you actually need her. |
