I hate my Mac laptop because...

Love my mac as well. Had some minor issues with it, apple took care of it (for free[/list]). Never had a problem.
I will never go back to a PC.

If you want a laptop to last, get a mac.

I posted before about loving my Mac. I don't really think there are that many differences to get used to. I thought I'd be on the phone to my brother every day with questions about it but I'm really not. I can't understand how people can deal with all of the virus crap that goes on when dealing with PCs.

Seriously love my Macbook. One of the many things I love is that when you need help with anything - anything - you just make an appointment at the genius bar (usually within 24 hours) and can get super friendly, super helpful advice/corrective work. And they are really good about supporting their product - they just did a major repair to our computer for free.

Also bizarrely connects to our work better than my PC (even the one that work issued me!) and just generally is faster, easier, and better. Love it.

Because my DH won't keep his hands off it. I need to get him an iPad.

I love my Mac. The only glitch is when I try to use Word on it, it just isn't the same at On my pc at work, but I find doing a doc in pages and cutting and pasting works well.

Sorry... can't help you. I am typing this from my Macbook Pro (and I LOVE it).

The only problem I've had with my Mac is the power cord has flaked out twice in the 10 months I've had it. HOWEVER, it was as simple as going to the Mac store with the computer, they plug it in to confirm, and then they give me a new one (for free). My power cord on my Dell broke a few years ago and it literally took MONTHS to get a new one. I had to call customer service, wait on hold for at least 30 minutes, get transferred around, and then try to explain the issue to someone over the phone who was obviously located in India (and therefore did not speak English that well). They sent the wrong part twice before they finally sent the right one, and that was only because I called the number that's for corporate accounts (where the customer service is based in the US) and basically berated them into helping me.

I do miss forward delete, though.

Serious question for PC folks who moved over to Mac: (new poster here.)

I'm a PC-user who has also used Macs at work. One thing I could never get used to was the no-right-click thing with the mouse. Are you over that? How long does it take to get over that? I feel like I right click on things all the time! I just don't know if I could give that up!

Love my mac too. I will never go back. I swore I'd never use one, but got tired of the issues with windows, went to the apple store and got my husband one and here I am with one too.

On my mac, I use one finger click for the normal mouse click, and two finger click for the right click. Use it all the time. I couldn't give it up either, and you don't have to. I can also scroll the page down with two fingers. If you have trouble figuring it out, I'm sure they can help you at the apple store. They're always very helpful.

We had a couple of Macs and went back to PCs. Not sorry -- we never benefited from the supposedly great customer service, and we had problems with them. BUT we aren't in design; I can see how someone who is would want the Mac.

Ditto the person who said s/he didn't find Macs intuitive.

My Mac mouse (the wireless one) has right click. There isn't a separate button but when I use Word for Mac, I use the right click all the time -- no difference from PCs.

you can also enable right click on the touchpad if you have a Macbook. Or use control, click
