I think Andrea Mitchell's plastic surgery is about the best I've seen

I had to google Andrea Mitchell. I opened this thread out of boredom and nothing better to do. The images of her do show horrible skin. Did she have obvious plastic surgery recently or something?

I assumed she had some of kind of powerful peel or laser treatment, as she always looked like she had bad acne scars. I think the skin improvement is fairly recent, though, isn't it? I often wondered why she didn't get it taken care of sooner. BTW, I think treating scars is in a whole other category than anti-aging remedies.

I think high def TV has put a lot of pressure on women (and perhaps men, but less so) who are on TV, even if they have "serious" jobs.

Anyone curious why Meredith Viera hasn't had work done yet? I hate to say it, but she actually needs it. She's on tv at least 3 hours a day!

I never noticed how bad her wrinkles were until the Olympics coverage. I think they must have lighting and makeup that downplay her flaws on camera but couldn't do as good a job when they were filming from a makeshift studio in Vancouver.

Ladies, we will never be free until we stop trying to look 18 when we are 40.

Yup, no true equality if one gender has to try to achieve the impossible while aging is totally accepted for the other. *Gets off soapbox*

What gender are you classifying Jamie Lee Curtis as? Doh!

And why is ok for bald or balding men to not lose their jobs if they don't get a hair transplant? As for grossed out plastic surgery, take a look at Bruce Jenner - Y.U.C.K.!

Have you seen her legs lately? Good lord - I'd kill for those legs. She dressed up as Lady Gaga for Halloween and looked great. Good for her for controlling what she can (keeping fit and healthy) and why should she pretend to be younger than she is by getting surgery? Again, a 20 or even 30 something doing her job wouldn't fly - you need experience. She's not working for E! News, she is hosting the Today Show. We all know she is in her late 40s/early 50s. I personally think she looks great, same with Diane Sawyer.

Diane Sawyer is very attractive however she clearly benefits from the ol' "greased camera" trick. Meredith Viera and Anne Curry are also striking and I would hope to look that good at 50+.

What is the greased camera trick?

Nobody needs plastic surgery. This is the exact type of thinking I don't want passed down to my daughter. I get sickened when I watch TV and nearly every woman, 30+, has had some type of work done or botox. Honestly! You need to re-evaluate this type of thinking because it's only doing a disservice to women.

Meredith Viera is much better looking as she looks less stiff and less like The Joker.

Jamie Lee Curtis has always been gorgeous. It's not fair to set her up as a role model. Tall, thin, long legs, well proportioned body, looks great with short hair. The rest of us aren't that lucky.

Very true! She was born with an insane body. The gym can only do so much. Can't fight your genes.

I watch her on Sunday mornings, and I don't notice any of her skin problems. She looks good to me. And I don't think she looks like she's been worked on excessively.

Now,it's clear she had SOME work. My point (I'm the OP) was that of the plastic surgery faces, hers seems a bit more natural.

I have gray hair, some celluite, a post-partum stomach, and some laugh lines. I exercise and eat well, have two young and healthy children, and a stressful job I love that only adds more wrinkles to my face.

With all of that lifetime of experience behind me, why would I care at this point to look 25?

Interesting. I see her on the USAir Shuttle every once in a while. Saw her 2 weeks ago and thought she actually looked much better than in the past. Now that I see the picture I see why.
