1. GLP-1- It will change your life. If you're 10 pounds overweight you're likely 30 or so pounds higher than the middle of a healthy BMI range. You should also actually weigh yourself today and check a BMI calculator. A lot of people think they're 10 pounds overweight and it's more like 30...
Losing a large chunk of weight will make the biggest difference to your overall looks. People get wrapped up in thinking about whether or not their diet is "healthy" but it if you're eating too many calories you will be overweight regardless of the calorie source.

2. Skincare- you'll need to do some trial and error on a routine that works for you, but the best bang for your buck is absolutely tretinoin. It requires a prescription (easy to get online) and it takes a long time for results but stick with it. You'll thank yourself in 10 years. You also need to be wearing sunscreen all day every day. What is your current routine?

3. Makeup- As other posters have suggested, full makeup is aging on middle aged skin. Better to focus on skincare and skip foundation, etc.

4. How are your eyebrows? If they need fixing this can make a huge difference to your overall look.

5. Do your teeth need bleaching? This is pretty quick and painless and a simple upgrade.

Invest in skin care and a good workout routine. I’m the same age and feel very similarly. Good skincare and dropping 5 lbs to my normal weight and a huge difference even when sleep is limited with work/kids.

Enjoy and cherish your looks now.

In 10 or 20 years, you’ll be looking at your photos and saying how beautiful you were.

I'm 57 and honestly can't believe how pretty I was at 40.

Do you exercise daily??
Perhaps moving a little everyday will help you lose those extra 10lbs.

You should practice self-acceptance.
As we get older - - it is completely normal to lose a little bit of our youthful beauty.
Our definition of beauty usually evolves over time.

If you are gray(ing), you might want to color them in order to look younger.
Or just visit a hairdresser 💇🏻‍♀️ for a brand-new haircut + color!

For your skin, an effective eye cream may help your bags look less noticeable.
Plus limit your salt intake & sleep w/your head more elevated at night.

Hope these suggestions help❣️

And you PP are obviously the 20 yr. old.

OP, you can take the bull by the horns, lose weight and get in shape and you will ride this wave of good looks until you hit early 50s. That's a decade of looking and feeling good and wearing sleeveless shirts and shorts! This is worth your time and investment.

I transformed my body around that age after four kids and I looked great for a long time.

Also, make sure your hair looks good. Get a tinted moisturizer/serum make-up that works with your aging skin.

You will be so glad you did this!!

39 is actually old. You are not 20 anymore.

I this and a little tinted moisturizer and I look so much better than when I go heavy on the concealer and foundation. https://www.sephora.com/product/banana-bright-vitamin-cc-eye-sticks-P504639?country_switch=us&lang=en&skuId=2764793&om_mmc=ppc-GG_17798154149___2648483__9002485_m&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=17790678136&gbraid=0AAAAADnIXb0x9H43Tjw1REibmnDcgBqy9&gclid=CjwKCAjw857RBhAgEiwAI-1yKLPsX70Iqy7UnSFMA1dO4TlUExSA6iHqCt18IMpp5ZaL1_eVNELy1BoC0hUQAvD_BwE

+1. Start watching makeup tutorials/influencers for middle age women. I'd start tretinoin now. Make sure you are wearing a quality sunscreen.

And stop comparing yourself to women full of botox or heavy filters or just straight up AI.

I’m 60 and I agree.

Eat healthy, stay within the 10 lbs over your BMI, have a good skin care routine, wear SPF daily, walk, work out 3x a week and STOP WORRYING ABOUT LOOKING YOUR AGE.

Be a good person,
