If you reserve in advance it looks like it’s $15 a day.

(The other rates are discounted as well if you reserve. Usually if you start a reservation in the evening lot they offer you a discounted upgrade to the cheaper garages also.)

I was just there and there was a sign saying it will be cheaper to pre-pay. The hike sounded punitive for non-planners.

--never pre-booked parking, but will

Yes or even better use one of the nearby park and ride lots.

We've stayed at a nearby hotel with a park'n'fly package and used their shuttle to get to and from the airport. Can be worth it if you have a long trip that begins with an early flight.

This is what you are concerned about? Don't fly if you can't afford to pay for parking. It's about $30/day at DCA.

DCA is also an easy Metro ride from the city. I've never paid to park there.

You pay for metro and the time you waste on metro, no? Time is money.

No it's not. The concern is the rate hike %s not how much it's still cheaper than DCA. i bet MWAA hiked rates there too starting this week.

The same could be said about price hikes for anything at any amount.

Not tricks, just the coupons and clicking for economy and getting the offer for a cheaper rate in the garages.

As far as booking ahead, it's always been relatively cheaper to book ahead. This isn't new if they're maintaining that.
