Fairfield hits way above its weight in finance placement.

These schools Providence, Fairfield and Elon are all doing well in our college cohorts. They are a great option for well rounded A/B+ students who are not interested in large state universities. All have been rated very high for first year experience and undergraduate education. We visited all 3 of these schools and liked them all but for different reasons.

Saying it is "conservative" is applying political terms to a religious institution. You may say "orthodox" instead of "conservative". Providence doesn't answer to the republican party. Catholicism, even what you refer to as "conservative" Catholicism, has elements that republicans don't agree with. For example they are against the death penalty, they are against what they deem "unjust war" (most wars we have fought), they believe in helping the poor, and believe that wealthy people have an obligation (although not necessarily through taxation) to help the less fortunate. Yes, they also are against abortion. They don't believe in pre-marital sex, and they believe that marriage is between a man and a woman.. So, is that conservative or liberal?. It is neither. It is a set of religious beliefs.

Indeed, Catholics tend to vote as a group 50/50 between the political parties historically.
