What’s stopping you from trying a GLP / meds?

I think there's a big difference between genuinely having 5-10 pounds to lose and the PP who had a BMI of 27, which is overweight. If your BMI is that high you have 30-40 pounds to lose and maybe it's worth it, but it's not worth it to go from a BMI of 21 to 19 for vanity reasons.

I like my body best at 115-120. I’m 5’6.5”. I’m 130. I’d love to lose 10 lbs. but I’m 50 years old and I’m not willing to shave myself or give up weekend drinking. Basically I DGAF.

I also had same issue and use daily miralax. Now on GLP and it didn’t cause constipation, if anything made things move through better

They've been on the market a lot longer than 3 years (some of them), what's the concern?

Why would you "quit" a medication that works for you? Obviously if you "quit" the benefits go away. I'm also not "quitting" my Synthroid, and I didn't "quit" my oral contraceptive and hope to not get pregnant- I only "quit" it when I was ready to have a baby. Because, duh, stopping birth control means that the birth control stops working.

Stopping a weight loss medication means that the weight loss won't stay off.

So why not just keep taking it? Honest question.

3. Concerned about side effects on digestion.
4. Cost. I can afford it, but I'd rather spend my money on other things.
5. Prefer to exercise willpower and make diet and exercise changes, because it will bolster my self-esteem and I feel this is a cop-out.
6. Only have 10 lbs to lose.
7. Concerned about gaining back the weight when I stop.

Exercise and willpower and dieting is clearly all you need for 10 pounds. My eyes can't roll back far enough. This medication isn't even marketed to you, and it's not worth it for you. The risks don't outweigh the benefits. You aren't even overweight.

You're already thin at that height and weight. Obviously you should not be taking weight loss medications.

These posts are so dumb. So much hand wringing about how other women choose to lose weight. Why do you even care? It's like the same as those women who crow about how other women shouldn't have abortions. Like why do they even care? You're against abortion? Then don't have one. You're against GLP1s? Then don't take them. Who gives a flying F if someone else does? At least the abortion crazies have the whole "you're killing a baby" argument. What do the GLP1 crazies have?

The rapid face aging and thinning hair. It's shocking how much older some people on these drugs look.

I'll stick to calories in/calories out and work to never need to lose more than 10-15 pounds because that's when the face starts to be impacted.
