Matched at Oyster Adam’s for PK4 & K OOB… can’t believe it honestly.

How many spots do they normally offer for 8th with and without the at-risk preference?

Depends entirely on how many kids leave. It’s usually 0-2 spots. Siblings get preference over equitable access. Sucks to strike out in 8th, PP, but you’ll have a much better shot (almost guaranteed but not quite) for 9th. There are typically 10-20 spots total for 9th. I’m sorry though. That really stinks for next year.

Got into Hyde PK3 with sibling + IB preferences. Pretty much the entire class will have that profile.

Horrible K numbers, again (>50, all accept less than 10). Kid will stay in private.

Can someone please explain to me what does “ineligible” mean? 9th grade #1 Banneker marked as ineligible but got into our #2

I believe that essentially means your child did not get into the school on the merits of their application. For the application high schools, you can get matched, or you can be waitlisted (essentially, the school would like to admit you, but they do not have enough spots, and if enough folks turn down slots, your kid may get in), or you can be rejected by the school. When you do not get into the school, the lottery has you listed as "ineligible."

Sorry. Hope you and your kid are psyched about your #2 option!

This means they matched with #2 and did not get into Banneker.
