| Panera grosses me out. Especially all the creepy leeches who “work” on their laptops and drink their subscription soda and coffee all day. Doesn’t help that it looks like their long standing cafes haven’t been renovated in 20 years. Everything is so dingy and depressing. |
| May I have a cup for water? |
|
The quality has been in a long decline but it's heading into a death spiral now. They don't even have a bakery any more, it's all frozen stuff now. My brother back in the day (like 25 years ago) used to go in and actually bake for them.

You’re creeped out by people who work at a place known to not aak people to leave drinking a drink they pay for under a heavily advertised pricing model? |
| I get the Mediterranean veggie sandwich and water, whole thing is under $10 including tax. The you pick 2 is expensive. |
OP here. There was basically a forced tip option, which made me mad. The computer said something like never expected but always appreciated. But I couldn’t figure out how to leave nothing so I left a dollar. So 19 plus tax. |
Yep and you can even pay close to $30 for fast casual. |
Hospital food is now getting much better than before. |
| Why did you feel the need to add that you took the chips home? To feel better about your fat intake? "Don't judge me for eating unhealthy food, I took the chips home!" |
| It's always been gross and overpriced. I haven't been to once since maybe 2010. |
I go there often. Order on the ap, they have tons of deals and never tip. They are always very nice to me. |
| I used to love those egg souffle things. Picked one up recently because I needed something quick and it was terrible. Panera overall was never amazing, but it used to be at least decently fresh and healthy (depending what you ordered) in comparison to similarly priced fast casual. |
The main draw for me was always the bread and other baked goods. Now that the bread comes in frozen and has declined in quality there is no reason for me to go in there. |
| Yes, I went to a local "pub" recently. A burger was $18. Cheese was extra, lettuce was extra, onion was extra. Didn't come with fries or anything. My cheese burger and fries (no drink) came to $28 with tip. It's unbelievable. |
Um, no. The point I was making was that I didn't even eat all the food I was served for nearly $20. Weirdo. |
