How do you take your creatine?

Take it, in any form, and you risk hurting your kidneys

I take a sip of water and then dump the scoop directly into my mouth. Done. No mess.

Creatine has been studied a lot. It hasn’t been shown to negatively impact actual kidney function or health, whatever MAHA influencers may tell you.

Creatine supplementation can affect laboratory markers of kidney function, but in healthy individuals it has not been shown to damage kidneys when used at normal doses.

On the other hand, AFAIK (as a power lifter), the only benefit of creatine is in slightly reducing recovery time between sets and increasing your ability to get the last rep or two. It doesn’t help in any way that I’m aware of if you are not working out hard enough to benefit from it.

Sure, in exactly the same way that eating a poppy seed muffin will make you suffer the negative effects of opiate abuse.

This one is delicious. We just use plain water.

If it's a lift day (I lift 4 days a week), I add it to my post workout protein shake. If it's not a lift day, I add it to my morning yogurt.

What's that old quote... ah yes...

Once you hit peri, taking it really helps! I put it in coffee, but it definitely changes the taste a little bit (while my protein doesn't). The benefits I've personally seen outweigh the slight change in taste.
