| Mine was waitlisted with excellent stats-- but they already had been appointed to a service academy before applying VT and intend to go. They only applied to VT in case of health emergency that precluded academy attendance, and it probably showed in their essays. |

Are we saying that a 4.1 isn't a good GPA and because it's not higher the course rigor is weak? I'd say that if you graduated from a FCPS school with a 4.1 and a 1590, you most definitely could handle VT. I'm sorry to this family. These results are shocking! |

GPA is too low. Last year's class had a 4.33 at the 75th percentile, and a 4.14 at the median. Especially if applying for engineering or unhooked. |
