Is there any harm in trying it out (besides the cost)? Seems worth it for the potential benefit even if in the end it does nothing.

No I guess not. My fancy dental practice charges like 650 dollars though, not covered by insurance

I'm interested in the PT. If anything I need more ways to relax vs. exercises.

If you are in NOVA, the Jackson Clinics have some locations that offer TMJ therapy. DH has done it with good results.

The first set of injections was a little painful because my muscles were so tight. By the third round in within two years, I was getting lasting improvement and experiencing less discomfort with the injections. It did thin out my face a bit but not in a way that I find cosmetically unacceptable.

What’s the cost?

Cost depends on the number of units you get. Ballpark, $1000. How long it lasts depends on severity of muscle tension and how quickly your body metabolizes Botox. Also, if you get Botox for other reasons—migraines, cosmetiv concerns—you want to time your injections to be close together. Otherwise, you can develop an immune response to the injections that makes them less effective. Minimum effective duration is 12 weeks. Some people go the better part of a year without needing more.
