Agree. I saw them as I was driving by and tears came to my eyes. My dd participated and guesses 75% of students did based on what teachers said. I watched the videos and this was not kids cutting class.

What is the usual punishment for skipping class and is it being applied? If not, this doesn't seem brave at all, and seems like school sponsored political speech which is concerning

If student organizers approached school administrators and recieved permission I see no problems with a student walk out. As a matter of fact, I encourage it as a valuable lesson in civics and 1st Amendment rights. Approval of such events does not automatically mean endorsement so I wouldn’t think much of the “school sponsored politics” angle.

Will you be ok if MAGA supporting students walk out? Politics do not belong in schools. Do not brainwash the kids (i neither dem or rep)

I wonder what the folks here would say if some kids walked out tomorrow to protest the "Stolen 2020 election", and then day after tomorrow to protest Maduro's abduction.
