Montgomery College MD

My kids took a lot of their summer classes and camps. I took STEM undergrad courses for my own knowledge.

It has a great reputation and we are lucky to have it!

It's considerd a top community college in Maryland and ranked 17th nationally among more than 650 community colleges. Lol, rankings of CCs??

Your/your kid's experience at MC?

lol, yes

My HS kid is currently there for DE math. Her professor teaches the exact same class -- same syllabus, same exams, all of it -- at UMD.

It does with a 3.0 gpa which is a considerably lower bar than being admitted straight from HS. My kids took DE classes there and enjoyed them. They liked the instructors.

So the CC "rankings" (lol) coincides with national universities.

What do you mean is it?

Screw off.

Of course it is. Community colleges are fabulous. MC is one of the absolute best. Professors are great. School is run well.

Students go from there to wonderful 4 year programs.

It's finnancaly more responsible than going to Univ of South Carolina OOS or Indiana or OMG Alabama so dumb.

Great professors!

I took a few undergrad classes there that transferred to other universities.

It is super weird that you are trying to make a point that none of us are following OP. Do you think it's funny that MC is excellent? It's not cool or useful to be a snob. Do more productive things with your time.

It is a great school and meets a need. Lots of colleges can't say that.

Get a new hobby bruh.

Why exactly are community colleges ranked? Can't anyone take a class at these colleges?

I am amazed by the amount and variety of classes offered with highly rated teachers. With the cost of college being so exorbitant, it is not a a bad way to save two years of tuition.

Do you recommend one campus - Rockville, Germantown, Silver Spring/Takoma, online -
over the other and for what field/program/department?
