When did they drop the "community" from Montgomery College?

It's considerd a top community college in Maryland and ranked 17th nationally among more than 650 community colleges. Lol, rankings of CCs??

Colleague did their undergrad there, then an MS CS at GMU. Capable, knowledgeable, and well respected at work. Work is software engineering for embedded systems.

Very strong instructors, particularly on the STEM side of the house.

It has been named Montgomery College for decades, since the '90s at least.

MC does not offer bachelor's degrees if that's what you mean by "4 year degrees".

No, MC is a community college. They offer Associates's degrees, licensures, certifications, etc.

There are students who get an associates and then transfer to finish the remaining 2 years.

It never had “community” in the title. It was Montgomery Junior College until about 1970, then changed to Montgomery College.

I love Montgomery College. I have taken many courses there and got credit for it.

I love their teachers. The best part of Montgomery College is their faculty.

It’s a great option and leads to guaranteed admission to UMD if that is what your child is seeking.

It has a great reputation and we are lucky to have it!
