Obi-wan Kenobi asks: who is more foolish: the fool, or the fool that replies to him?

The fool that replies to the fool that replied to the fool.

Is your kid currently there or graduated in the last 4 years?

Attended for undergrad, or grad? What program, college and major?

Outcome after graduating if they already graduated?

Constant construction on/around campus.

They haven't finished construction? What are they building now? They were working on a new CS building that's got to be finished by now

A lot of it is related to the Purple Line.

Bad: all the construction
Good: food is VERY good
So-so: dorms

DS is a sophomore physics major

There is a moderated parents of applicants (something like that) group on Facebook. You will get way more detailed and reliable info from that group than available here

Is that food on campus or along Route 1 and nearby areas?

Kid is freshman;

- Likes most classes
- met a lot of people despite being an introvert- mostly through the dorm
- accepted all AP credits so he is deciding whether to double major, graduate early, or take a longer study abroad program
- dorm ok, no complaints
- likes the food

To the poster who said how big the campus was, I am not following. It seems to me the most compact flagship campus I have visited.

Downside from parent not kid: College Park itself is not great so kid goes into DC and occasionally to Baltimore for concerts and stuff. They do a decent job of bringing some big names to campus though- comedians, film makers etc. Not a quaint walkable town nor a gritty big city but we knew that going in.
