ADHD inattentive with no motivation

How was the ADHD evaluated? Are you certain there isn't also a learning disability? Because that would make school even harder and unpleasant.

If she dislikes school, has ADHD and is on meds, she definitely should have a psychoed evaluation either by the school as part of their Child Find obligation or privately. ADHD has a lot of impacts academically beyond attention and organziation per se.

My kid’s ADHD seriously impacted his reading (in a way that is different from dyslexia) and his writing which resulted in additional diagnoses of dysgraphia and reading disorder NOS. Although he was very bright, he did have an IEP and although the special instruction part was worthless, the accommodations were very helpful.

I’d check out Neural movement in Rockville specifically Adriana she’s great. Was recommended as my DD very unmotivated to do anything. Was skeptical at first as she wasn’t into any sports at all but so happy we found a break through with Adriana as she encouraged her and motivated her to find a way outside of Minecraft and the couch.
