Because that would make school even harder and unpleasant.[/quote] If she dislikes school, has ADHD and is on meds, she definitely should have a psychoed evaluation either by the school as part of their Child Find obligation or privately. ADHD has a lot of impacts academically beyond attention and organziation per se. My kid’s ADHD seriously impacted his reading (in a way that is different from dyslexia) and his writing which resulted in additional diagnoses of dysgraphia and reading disorder NOS. Although he was very bright, he did have an IEP and although the special instruction part was worthless, the accommodations were very helpful. [/quote]
