| Dogs love you unconditionally and always have time for you. Once we don't have to care for kids, we're getting one. |
They don’t care about their kids and you guys are defending them. You guys clearly hate your own children or you would not be repairing this way. |
Neither is their kid, too fragile. |
Is it too much for them to pretend to care about their kids instead of treating them like dirt. |
| How old are you, OP? You sound spoiled and entitled. I'm guessing your parents want some time to themselves after raising you. What I would blame them for is raising a brat. |
You guys are ridiculous. They don’t even want to see the grandkids. Didn’t care when they were born. Didn’t even visit me in the hospital when I was seriously ill from the pregnancy. Many Boomers are just selfish people and they don’t care about their kids or grandchildren. |
I actually think this is more common with young people. |
You dogs will do a great job protecting you from being homeless when someone abusive caretaker steals all of your money. Dogs don't care about you. They are just animals and they will gladly eat you if you pass away. Too many instances of this happening. |
Can’t relate. My parents and all the other boomer grandparents are very heavily involved in their families. They do more child care than i ever saw growing up from grandparents. |
| Don’t feed the troll |
|
Your parents sound unbalanced, OP. Have you ever had a real, no confrontational conversation with the about this?
Do your kids notice their grandparents aren’t interested in them? How often do you see your parents? |
That's YOUR parents, OP. I feel sorry for you. My parents and ILs were awesome! |
That's what I was thinking too. |
+1. Everyone I know who has a grandkid is over the moon. My sister and BIL are spending NY right now with their baby granddaughter, staying at a hotel nearby and sitting so the parents get a break. |
This. Also note that many parents may not want GPs to post pics of their kids. |
