Teen wants a grown up cold shoulder sweater

This. Cami underneath.

She will eventually realize she looks like a middle aged alcoholic. Take lots of pictures to show her when she is older.

“Showing everything?” Wow, shouldn’t she be wearing a bra and/or a tank top by the time she’s a teen? How and why would she “show everything” wearing any shirt? Bad parenting, OP. She should be wearing a bra by now.

Could you share a picture, and the size she needs? Maybe we can help you find something similar?

Shut up. Even with a bra or tank, those shirts are inappropriate.

OP here.

Kid is 14. She is small, wears a training bra and even with that when she bends down we can see through that bra.

This is what she wants: https://www.amazon.com/Shoulder-Sweaters-Pullover-Aesthetic-Sweater/dp/B0CLJFGHVC?

The second picture will show how it just hangs on a slim person.

I guess the suggestion to wear a cami along with sweater is fair. It won't go with the kawaii "aesthetic" she wants but its a good compromise.

Its just so huge and long on her though.

Her body her choice shut up

I am unclear what you think is showing in that second picture? I was picturing large armholes on a sleeveless top.

If the part “showing” is cleavage maybe shorten the straps.

get her a bandeau bra or shirt to wear underneath

Nothing is showing in the second picture. I am saying it is so long and oversized like that on her.

But the suggestion about bandeau bra is good.

The shirt is fine. My DD has a lot of these strapless bras, even under the camis. She had the Nike sports bras in all colors that go with outfits too for layers for other shirts. But for the shirt you posted she’d wear a strapless with a Cami or just the bra, depending on fit.

She insists it is fine because she likes the style. I'm also pretty sure if she bends she will be showing everything. I said No we need to return this and she has been sulking. Now what?

Return it. End of story.

Yeah, strict parents raise sneaky kids. I'm glad my kids trust me and tell me everything. My daughters friend has strict parents who won't let her wear anything that doesn't cover her stomach or shoulders and now here she is sneaking around her parents hanging out with boys and secretly wearing very very cropped shirts that she changes into at school.

Parents with poor communication skills raise trashy kids.

My DD and her friends all wear tanks under them

Abercrombie Kids has carried similar styles in the past. They really don’t seem scandalous to me!
