it might be angular chellitis.

go see a dermatologist.

Slather it in Vaseline or aquaphor tonight. Do it again in the morning, tho it will be harder to keep a wad on there while you’re awake.

Sometimes it’s fungal. Agree w pps-you need to go see a derm. If you can’t do that but your insurance covers teladoc that’s an option.

Agree with previous PPs on angular chellitis. I get it from time to time due to high stress. You need a cream from a dermatologist to heal it. Aquaphor won't cut it.

A blood test showed the severe iron deficiency. Once I had iron infusion, it went away for good (along with a host of other symptoms).

SAME. Whenever the crack would re-appear (~once every 1-1.5 years), I took that as my body’s way of telling me to get my iron levels checked. 90% of the time, results showed moderate to severe anemia. Iron infusions saved me.

Antifungal and antibiotic cream seemed to have little to no effect.

Is this from having braces?

Try taking L-Lysine tablets and apply Abreva. It will be gone in 3-4 days. You are welcome.

Switch toothpastes. Rinse toothpaste thoroughly. Use aquaphor.

I get it in winter often due to retin-a, dry skin. It can be painful.

Aquaphor helps mine clear up quickly.

I have an old prescription a dentist once gave me for a fungal cream for it because it can be caused by a fungus…but mine is def not that and only sometimes happens in winter with retin-a/dry skin.
