| We have them but I maybe use five a quarter. |
| We still pay some monthly bills by check. |
| Of course you need checks |
Yes. Because of small merchants and repairpeople. Plumbing Company - $1,400 Electrician - $200 Car Dealership Repairs $1,000s Occasional gifts College kid apartment deposit (want evidence) PTA expenses from PTA account (no charge card or debit card with this). It's enough to make it worth still having checks. |

Yes-the main thing I use them for is random school field trip or activity fees.
I’ve had big house expenses (kitchen Reno, window replacement) where they either limited the amount you could pay by card or gave a discount for paying by check. I probably use 5-8 s year. |
Yup still work |
I would say checks are for homeowners. The guys who did the roof repair wanted a check; they guys redid the windows wells wanted a check; the plumber prefers a check, so he doesn't lose the cc fees. |
| Yes I write a few checks per year (county and town property taxes, eg) |
Checks are for people who want to save fees. OP, you can mail a check from your bank. |
Same here. People in trades seem to prefer checks and if there is a credit card option, they will tack on another 3% fee. I am not interested in wasting money so check it is. I don't think I write more than 10 a year but it still has its place. |

I work for a small construction company and most of our customers pay by check. We charge an extra 3.5% for credit/debit cards.
I got something like 500 checks from our credit union when I opened an account 20 years ago. We're about halfway through the pile. Not quite a lifetime supply! |
But then they get your bank account number. |
| Yes of course we have checks! |
| Yes - with the extra charges for using credit cards these days, I write checks at least 5 times a month. Even my dentist is charging credit card fees now. |
| I have them. I only use them to pay my therapist and my quarterly estimated taxes. |
